Houston Aquatic Center Features

  • Two 50-metre (160-foot) swimming pools
  • 25-metre (82-foot) diving pool.   
  • 3 meter deep 50m competition pool 
  • The floor will be able to be moved to reduce its depth.[4] 
  • The diving pool will have platform boards at heights of 3 m, 5 m, 7.5 m, and 10 m and three 3m springboards.[5] 
  • The diving well will double as eight-lane, 25-meter pool
  • The pools will be  equipped with innovative cameras in order to present the action from multiple angles for spectators on the big screens as well as television coverage 
  • Spectator Capacity 4,500 
  • The two movable bulkheads which allow for a conversion to either two 25-yard or 25-meter courses [2] 
  • Will meet all FINA Requirements for International  Swimming, Diving and Water Polo Competitions

  • Filters: 1.5 million gallons of water circulate 24 hours a day
  • 50 meter pool capacity - 880,000 gallons of water
  • Diving well - 660,000 gallons of water
  • Gutter edge system, waive-less system
  • High filtration rate,
  • Underwater lighting and viewing windows
  • Touch-pad timing system, electronic controlled starting blocks
  • BioOx Air quality system 
  • Staff offices for coaches, 
  • Men's and women's locker rooms and showers
